Southwestern students score big in Academic Games!

Southwestern’s Academic Games team qualified to participate in the National Academic Games competition in Virginia, which took place last week. The team won second or third place in five out of seven games (English and Math).

Student Julio Morales missed winning an overall medal by one point. Team members were: Julio Morales, Isaac Elicea, Denisha Fletcher and Micah Stiger. Mrs. Denise Brazier is Southwestern’s Academic Games instructor.

“We are all very proud of their accomplishments, and wanted to share the good news,” said Stefana Romanov, Principal of Southwestern High School.
