The good news for Detroit Public School League football fans is they have a choice of three games to watch this weekend in the regional phase of the Michigan High School Athletic Association state playoffs.
The bad news is they can only see one game and will have to hear about the other two because all three remaining PSL teams will be playing on the road Friday at 7 p.m.
In Division 1, Cass Tech (8-3) plays Warren DeLaSalle (9-2) at St. Clair Shores Lakeshore High School. In Division 2, King (8-3) plays at Wyandotte Roosevelt (10-1), and in Division 4, Crockett (10-1) travels to Marine City (11-0).
Cass Tech defeated visiting Dearborn Fordson 33-7 Saturday to become the third PSL team to advance with a district championship after King walloped host Allen Park 41-0 and Crockett turned back visiting Harper Woods Chandler Park 48-8 in games Friday night. Douglass fell short, 26-22 against visiting Grosse Ile in Division 4, and finished the season 9-2.
A total of 64 teams, eight in each division, remain alive for the state championships set for Nov. 25-26 at Ford Field.
