“Drive To Arrive” at Ford Field enters semifinals for eight elite PSL football teams

The “Drive To Arrive” at Ford Field revs up Friday and Saturday for eight elite Detroit Public School League football teams, each with a chance to be crowned PSL Division Champions Friday, Oct. 21, in the home of the undefeated Detroit Lions.

After six weeks of grueling and thrilling league play, marked by parity throughout, the PSL Divison 1 and Division 2 semifinal pairings are set:

On Friday, at Northwestern High School, Douglass plays Kettering at 5 p.m. in Division 2 followed by King vs. Renaissance at 7 p.m. in Division 1.

On Saturday, at King High School, Ford meets Southwestern in Division 2 at 12 p.m.,  and Crockett collides with Cass Tech in Division 1 at 2 p.m.

It all sets the stage for the PSL championship doubleheader in downtown Detroit.
Be there at Ford Field on Friday, Oct. 21 when the “Drive To Arrive” reaches the goal line for this year’s Division 1 and Division 2 champions in PSL Football! Admission is $10 to see both games, with the Division 2 title game set for 4:30 p.m. followed by the Division 1 title game at 7 p.m.

For the first time since 2006, the Detroit Public School League will crown its champions at Ford Field. Proud Strong Learners showcasing their amazing talents in the home of the Proud Strong Lions — a PSL winning combination!
