Perry’s 30 leads Renaissance High to fourth consecutive PSL boys’ golf title

Junior Eric Perry shot a nine-hole 30 to lead Renaissance High to its fourth consecutive Detroit Public School League boys’ golf title Tuesday at Palmer Park Golf Course.

Coach Harry Kennedy’s Phoenix finished with a low score of 141 and took five of the top six places, including junior Jameel Lockhart second (33), senior Kruse Erickson third (34), senior Jeffrey Morris tied for fourth (44) and sophomore Jon Elrod sixth (47).

Southeastern’s Will Jones’ 44 tied for fourth, helping the Jungaleers finish second in the team standings with 198, followed by King third with 226, Cass Tech fourth with 251, Denby fifth with 303 and Pershing sixth with 310.
