Complete Well Child Physicals available at nine locations during school Easter break

The Detroit Public School League, in conjunction with Think Detroit PAL and the Detroit Department of Health and Wellness Promotion, has teamed with the Detroit Wayne County Health Authority to offer Complete Well Child Physicals while school is out for the Easter break.

From Monday April 18 through Friday April 22, students can get a complete physical examination at nine area locations. Each facility will schedule its own appointments so please confirm times and a list of services.

Insurance plans will be billed with no out-of-pocket expenses. Medicaid screening is available for those without insurance. Parental or guardian consent is mandatory to have your child examined.

Take advantage of the Easter break and have your child undergo a Complete Well Child Physical for Sports and School at the following locations:

Northwestern High School, 2200 W. Grand Blvd., Rm. A-300, Detroit (313) 596-0700 (ages 10-21) Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-3 p.m. (appointments preferred but will accept walk-ins).

McAuley Health Center-Schulze, 10700 Santa Maria, Detroit (313) 579-1182 (ages 18-and-under) Tuesday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (appointments preferred but will accept walk-ins).

McAuley Health Center-Samaritan, 5555 Conner, Suite 2691, Detroit (313) 579-1182 (ages 18-and- under) Thursday 11 a.m.-7 p.m. (appointments preferred but will accept walk-ins).

Marcus Garvey Academy SBHC, 2301 Van Dyke, Detroit (313) 866-9973 (ages 5-18) Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8 a.m.-2 p.m. (appointments only, no walk-ins).

Hazel Park Jardon/Webb School, 2200 Woodward Heights, Ferndale (248) 543-4138 (ages 5-18) Friday 8 a.m.-2 p.m. (appointments only, no walk-ins)
