Pershing, King, Renaissance carry PSL banner into tonight’s Class A girls’ basketball regional openers

After winning district titles last week, Renaissance, Pershing and King are the Detroit Public School League’s remaining girls’ basketball teams in the Michigan High School Athletic Association tournament.
All three teams will be in action today (Tuesday, March 8) in Class A regional openers. At Warren Fitzgerald High, Pershing will play the host team at 5 p.m. and King plays at 7 p.m. against Livonia Ladywood.
At Waterford Mott High School, PSL champion Renaissance plays Southfield Lathrup at 7 p.m. after the 5:30 p.m. game between Auburn Hills Avondale and Romeo.
Today’s winners advance into the regional finals Thursday (March 10) at 7 p.m.
