Renaissance vs. Farmington Hills Mercy in Operation Friendship girls’ basketball game Friday

Renaissance High, which won its third consecutive Detroit Public School League girls’ basketball championship last week, will play Farmington Hills Mercy, the Detroit Catholic High School League champion, in the annual Operation Friendship game Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Livonia Ladywood High School. Pershing High, the PSL runner-up, will play host Livonia Ladywood in the 5 p.m. consolation game. Admission is $5
The boys’ Operation Friendship game will be Thursday, March 3 at Cass Tech High School. Southeastern High, the PSL champion, will play Sunday’s CHSL winner between U-D Jesuit and Warren DeLaSalle in the 6:30 p.m. championship game. Cody High, the PSL runner-up, will play its CHSL counterpart in the 5 p.m. consolation game. Admission is $5.
