PSL to recognize college-bound football scholar-athletes Feb. 9 after weather forces cancellation of National Letter of Intent signing ceremony

Due to the imminent threat of severe winter weather, the Detroit Public School League was forced to cancel Wednesday’s scheduled media event in conjunction with college football’s National Letter of Intent Signing Day.

As a result, the PSL will assemble before the media its college-bound football scholar-athletes at a recognition ceremony Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 11 a.m., at the Detroit Public Schools’ Welcome Center, New Center One first floor classrooms, 7320 Second Ave., Detroit, MI 48202. |

Among the PSL’s college-bound seniors expected are Renaissance High’s Lawrence Thomas and Quinten Boddie; Southeastern High’s Ed Davis and Brandon McKay; Central High’s Eric Crume; Cody High’s Jarrell McKinney; Crockett High’s Bilaal Collins; King High’s Montel Roberts, Kevin Rubin and Ellis Ewing; Cass Tech High’s Delonte Hollowell, Kishon Wilcher, Kenneth Nelson, John Jackson, Keith Moore, Keenan Smith, Sekou Shorter, Blake Blackwell and Abiodun Sanusi; and Western High’s Joshua Bailey.
