PSL football semifinals: Douglass vs. Finney, Cass vs. Cody, Southwestern vs. Central, Crockett vs. King

The Detroit Public School League football semifinals are set for Friday at King High School and Saturday at Northwestern High School, with the winners advancing into next weekend’s league championship doubleheader Saturday, October 23 at Northwestern High.
Teams qualifying for the playoffs include the top two finishers in each of the league’s four divisions and will result in the crowning of a Division I-II league champion and a Division III-IV league champion.
The playoff schedule:
Division III-IV and Division I-II Semifinals, Friday at King High School: Douglass (7-0) vs. Finney (2-5), 5 p.m.; Cass Tech (7-0) vs. Cody (6-1), 7:30 p.m.
Division III-IV and Division I-II Semifinals, Saturday at Northwestern High School: Southwestern (5-2) vs. Central (4-3), noon; Crockett (7-0) vs. King (6-1), 2:30 p.m.
Division III-IV Championship Game, Saturday, October 23, 12 p.m., at Northwestern High School: Douglass-Finney winner vs. Southwestern-Central winner
Division I-II Championship Game, Saturday, October 23, 2:30 p.m., at Northwestern High School: Cass Tech-Cody winner vs. Crockett-King winner
League non-playoff qualifier crossover games will be held Friday (October 15) and are all 4 p.m. starts: Denby (0-7) at Northwestern (1-6); Pershing (3-4) at Southeastern (3-3); Osborn (0-6) at Kettering (1-6); Renaissance (3-4) at Mumford (3-4); Western (3-4) at Ford (1-6).
