Detroit International Academy, DPS’ all-girls K-12 school, holds an open house

Detroit International Academy for Young Women, Detroit Public Schools all-girls school for grades kindergarten through 12, will hold an open house today, Wednesday October 6, from 3-4:30 p.m.

This is an opportunity for parents to visit the classrooms of their daughters and meet the teachers. The school is still accepting students. Principal Beverly Hibbler will meet, greet, and discuss concerns with parents. The school is located at 9026 Woodward.

Detroit International Academy expanded to include grades K-12 for the first time this fall. The academy, which requires uniforms, is still accepting students. The school offers a college preparatory curriculum, with an emphasis on mathematics, science, technology, and leadership development and offers numerous extra-curricular activities like a robotics team, photography, dance and debate.
