High-achieving Central High students to be honored at Principal Scholastic Gala

The University of Central Preparatory High School is celebrating academic achievement in order to motivate and encourage students to obtain and maintain academic excellence. Approximately, ten percent of the UCPHS student membership earned a GPA of 3.0 or above for the first card marking this school year.

Approximately, five percent achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above (26 females, 12 males). These 89 honor students attended an ice cream social on Friday, Nov. 6.

On Friday, Nov. 13, the Principal’s Club (honor students w/GPA 3.5 and above) will be having lunch with administration.

“Rewarding students’ accomplishments is only the beginning of our mission to equip students to meet all requirements for a diverse and rapidly changing global technological world,” said Principal Steven McGhee.

The Principal Scholastic Gala will be Friday, Nov. 13, 12:45 p.m. -2:47 p.m. at The University of Central Preparatory High School, 2425 Tuxedo Ave, Room 132
