WHAT: News conference to announce new plans to deter theft and vandalism at decommissioned school buildings across the school district. Detroit Public Schools, Detroit Police Department, Crime Stoppers and others are working cooperatively to address this situation

WHERE: Miller Middle School site, 2322 Dubois (near Chene and E. Vernor)

MORE: Details will be provided on a new Crime Stoppers initiative, community involvement, and projects in conjunction with Detroit Police Department. Officials will provide statistics on crimes at vacant school sites, arrests, costs of theft and vandalism, and status of securing buildings
