The public is invited to an interactive educational forum to hear Detroit Public Schools General Superintendent Dr. Connie K. Calloway present her assessment of the District, the challenges it faces and the processes and plans that she will put into action in 2008. It will take place on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History on Warren, east of John. R.

A major feature of the event will be the Question and Answer session with Dr. Calloway, conducted by the event’s moderator, Bankole Thompson, Senior Editor at the Michigan Chronicle. He will pose questions about the state of public education as it relates to DPS, issues public schools are facing such as inadequate funding and how it affects DPS, and take questions from the audience.
