Three Detroit Public Schools Science Eduators were honored at the Metropolitan Detroit Science Teacher’s Association’s 16th Annual Outstanding Science Educator Awards Banquet. The honorees were Middle School Science Supervisor, Ellen Daniel Jones who received the Distinguished Service Award for her many years of service to the organization. She has been a aboard member, secretary and is currently the executive secretary.
Brian Chaplin a physics teacher at Northwestern High School and Kimberly Finley, a sixth grade science teacher at Lessenger Middle School were honored by being awarded Mini-Grants to support their classroom work.
