The District Wide Title I Parent Advisory Council have the mission to empower Parents, Guardians, Loco Parentis, Grandparents, and Community(here after called Parents) with knowledge as it relates to their participation in the Title I programs, services, and funding of Public and Non-Public Schools. In addition, the Delegates will make decisions and recommendations regarding Title I Compliance, Parent and Community Involvement and on issues regarding the Title I Law and its’ amendments as it relates to parents.

The City Wide Bilingual/Multicultural Advisory Council provides a platform for the voice of Bilingual parents and community partners to express their concerns and suggestions regarding Bilingual students and programs in Detroit Public Schools, and to ensure that Parents/Families of English Language Learners are vital partners in the educational process.
The Great Start Readiness Program Advisory Committee ensures ongoing articulation of the early childhood, kindergarten and first grade programs for the District. GSRP reviews mechanisms and criteria used to determine participation in the early childhood program; reviews the health screening programs and reviews the nutritional services… In additional, the GSRP review, evaluate and make recommendations the District for changes to the school readiness program.
