Psychological Services

The Office of Psychological Services works to promote successful learning for all children.  School psychologists are mental health professionals specially trained in child psychology, learning, and development.  School psychologists use data-driven prevention and intervention strategies to nurture total child development.  School psychologists help parents,  teachers, and students understand, prevent and solve problems, and promote positive mental health and effective school environments for successful learning for all students.

School psychologists function as members of a multidisciplinary collaborative problem-solving school team to provide a variety of support services, including:

  • Diagnostic comprehensive evaluations for students suspected of having disabilities
  • Consultative services to parents, teachers, and school administrators
  • Direct and indirect academic and behavioral interventions
