All clients must have a current and valid:
Michigan Secretary of State Photo Identification or Drivers License  to receive services

 

Testing Requirements

  • Clients must be at least 18 years old
  • 16 or 17 year olds must pick up an “underage” packet located at (1300 Rosa Parks Blvd., Detroit, MI)
  • Arrival time is 8:15am- No appointment necessary
  • No late testers will be ADMITTED!
    Due to limited amount of seats the GED testing center will be first come first serve… No seat is guaranteed

Additional Information:

  1. First time testers are required to come in on either Monday or Wednesday. 
    Testers must finish the test either on the following Tuesday or Thursday
  2. Re-testers must call the GED office before coming in!
  3. The office will be open from 8:30am – 3:30pm,  M–F

 

Testing Fees

  • New clients: $30.00
  • Retests: $10.00 per test (1300 Rosa Parks Testers only)
  • Official transcripts: $2.00
  • Transcripts can  be either picked up or requested by mail by sending your name, Social Security number, birth date,  your signature, and where you want the transcript sent at:

  • The GED Testing Service accepts Money Orders Only Payable to: GED Testing Service
  • Testers must have their ID and money order upon ARRIVAL! (Your seat will be given up to the next person)
  • We only have records for DPS testers.  If you have tested at another location please bring your transcripts upon arrival.
